A team of experienced professionals who provide a huge range of advisory and management consulting services. We love helping companies turn their strategic goals into actionable projects. We are creators of change: our team deliver projects that make meaningful impacts. Our team work across a range of roles in our core practices.
The work we do with our clients matters which is what gets us all out of bed each day and why our brand purpose is ‘Make it Matter’.
This is our north star and what helps guide decisions we make for ourselves, for our clients and each other. We want to make a meaningful impact with not just the work we do but the way we carry ourselves and live our lives. We do this through the projects and outcomes we deliver, such as upgrading health facilities, streamlining education services, or assisting a not for profit with ways to better utilise their volunteering work force.
Over the years we’ve worked with clients across almost all sectors in Tasmania and our customer base and industry coverage are constantly expanding as our business continues to evolve and grow.
In 2019 we embarked on a new journey to learn more about our client businesses through our Business Practices. This enables us to get involved in the definition of ‘ideas and problems’ rather than focusing solely on the solution. We’ve learnt that this approach results in the best outcome for our clients and their projects.
We could talk for days about what we do, after all, we love it.
But the easiest way for you to get a feel for what we do is to peek behind the curtains and check out the work we do with our customers.
They’re kinda a big deal to us. Well, huge really.
We now have over 80+ professionals as part of The Project Lab community and together they’ve delivered over $150m in value and benefits for Tasmanian organisations since we began in 2013.
We have a range of people who have a passion for doing all sorts of things such as Business Management & Governance, People and Employee Experiences, Business Analysis & Improvement, Business Intelligence & Data Analysis, Market Analysis, Cyber Risk, Managed Services, Program & Project Management, Organisational Change Management.
Our people are our brand, our everything. Our culture is integral to how we hire, support and grow our people.
Our people are often the first brand touchpoint anyone has with us. We’re committed to developing and retaining the best people to protect and continue growing the quality of our brand.
After all, it’s the quality of our people that drives our business AND that of our clients.
Our people are our competitive advantage and culture is how we look support them. We believe our competitive advantage is founded in our ability to build a superior workforce.
Our response to supporting our people as COVID-19 took hold of the world.
The whole world has been hit for six with the global pandemic that is Coronavirus. We transitioned to a “Work From Home”arrangement within a 24 hour period and moved to complete virtual working.
But working virtual doesn’t have to take all the fun away, right?
We opened up;
Sometimes consulting can be a lonely game and we’re well aware of this...it’s actually part of the story of how TheProject Lab came to be. So we work hard on fostering a strong sense of community where our people can network and learn from peers in their own fields, and across into other domains.
Our people learn from each other and others across the world.
Who doesn’t want to get better and better at what they do?
Our people share a strong community focus and while our original aim back when we started was to make being a contractor less lonely, this has evolved into a community that seeks lifelong learning; who challenge the status quo; and who are eager to help make Tasmania a better place not just to work in but to live.
A team of people who believe in doing work that matters.
We encourage and support our people to keep up to date with industry trends, new tools and practices and the nature of how we work means this knowledge can be shared across The Project Lab community.
What’s good for our people is also great for our clients so it’s win/win!
It’s okay if you skipped to this bit. We don’t blame you.
We get that most professionals choose to start consulting for different reasons, whether it’s more work, life balance or for the diversity different clients, different engagements offer. We want to make sure that we help you not only realise the benefits of moving to professional consulting but we go above and beyond to offer you a working environment that fulfils you in as many ways as possible.
We’ll provide you with the supportive environment and backing of a team that will be available to help you sound out ideas, construct solutions to problems and collaborate on solutions. We play as a team.
You’re flexible? So are we. We don’t believe in the boring 9am-5pm grind and we get that some of us work better in the morning while others shine at night. We are open to you working with us to design your working week to bring out your best. You may be someone who enjoys getting into the flow and working longer one day and shorter the next. We get it—we do too.
So, when you work with us at The Project Lab you will;
